The fresh spinach pasta sheets are a very adaptable ingredient. I went online to search for recipes that I can use on pasta sheets, and one recipe that really jumped out is a ravioli made with cauliflower and crab. Raviolis are usually sealed, however these Raviolis are just layered with a sauce made from cream, cauliflower and crab meat. It’s a beautiful dish, and pretty easy to make, especially if you have the pasta sheets made already.
First, some butter is melted in a pan along with some olive oil, add some chopped garlic, and cook until fragrant over moderate heat. Add the cauliflower florets, turn the heat up to moderately high, and cooked until they start to brown.
Add the water to the pan and cook until the florets are tender, about 4 minutes.
Add the cream and simmer for about 6 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
Add cooked crab meat and cook until the crab has been heated through, season with salt and pepper and keep warm.
I cooked the frozen pasta sheets in boiling water for about 1 minute.
Remove the pasta from the water and pat try with paper towels. Place a sheet of pasta on the plate and spoon the warm cauliflower and crab sauce over it.
Top with another pasta sheet, and spoon extra sauce over.
I am in love with theses spinach pasta sheets and I can’t wait to try another recipe using them.
